"the happy they know how to set themselves free" the best line of the song / this post is all about the song

Sobering thoughts, groovy soundtrack. To be thoughtful toward the planet is often inconvenient on many levels and I think that is one of the reasons for why we seem to be at a critical point now.

we should be in love with our planet then it would be easy

Yes we all should and then it would be easy and not given a second thought.

One comforting thought is that the Earth will do just fine without us humans. Maybe then lots of new species will have time to evolve. Maybe this sounds dark, but when I look at the current political climate -- too many selfish, evil, stupid people for my taste 😉.

Where are all the bugs?

When I was a kid, we had lots of bugs. They were everywhere.

Humans deemed them a nuisance, and used pesticides.

What is going to pollinate our plants if the bugs don't do it?

The reality is bugs are an essential part of this interdependent ecosystem.
