it sure surrounds us most days
sky and trees
of course there are buildings too
placed there among the cars
and the amazing moments that connect us
what do children feel before they can speak?
what do trees feel between their roots?
we know they communicate
thru the mushroom mycelium
signals are sent in the form of chemicals
these things are placed among us
sky and trees
cars and buildings
it’s wild as a jungle out there
the connections of people
our politics and things
they fix our place
agenda vs. agenda consumes most of our day
most days
maneuvering and jostling for position
standing in line
waiting
the birds are friendly
with the trees
but cautious around people
what do i need?
what can i share? say the trees
blue on white says the sky
cirrus clouds combed into a furrow
a field a fence beyond which
no one can see
the people commune with the cars
excuse me
peep peep in my mind
rolling by
looking for parking
the GPS on the charger
all phases of all things are all good
being young
growing old
being a tree being the sky
doing business on your phone
a proposal
how can one thing be good
and not others
living dying being born
the children of the women
the women of the children
a tiny fly on my writing pad
the sky clears
blue arrives
or has it always been here?
buildings rise like old giant trees
a verdant forest with little creatures
running around in the leaf litter
down below little mammals little
marmosets little lemurs leaping about
in the branches little vervets
running from flower to flower
looking for their groovy nook
