that was one of the craziest days in awhile
sunday night / bitter cold moved in
the cat i was supposed to trap and go get fixed
disappeared
my pipes froze
i didn’t know which one i should feel most anxious
about :: the possibly frozen cat under my house or
the possibility of my water pipes exploding when it
thaws and the ice disappears leaving a 3/4 inch gaping
gap in my water pipe with water rushing out and
probably somewhere under the house too
or in the shed like it already did once before already
i decided to not worry about either one of them and just
try to figure out what to do / there’s some wisdom
the cat came back the following night and willingly went
into the trap / the indoor water spigots started working
when the temperature went above freezing for a couple
of hours on monday and i managed to unfreeze the outside
spigots with a propane blow torch on the metal pipes
and then i wrapped them and left them drizzling
so they wouldn’t freeze up again / wisdom
the whole purpose of trapping the cat was to take it to the cat hospital
and get it fixed so it won’t procreate anymore baby cats - there being a great
influx of them already among the neighborhoods of our great city
and i have done that / or am in the process of doing that / little white tail rode in the car with me this morning (another new experience along with being trapped in a wire cage all night) and now is at the cat hospital waiting to get his nuts cut off
yep he’ll be a eunuch / if he’s a boy / actually i think he’s more of a girl
so . . . well they have their means of securing a childless future for girl cats too
now it’s tuesday morning / pipes still drizzling / cat no longer meowing in
the living room / pickup from the cat hospital at 3:30
everything back to normal
stress level down
i’m feeling good / stormy weather gone
