You have yourself. If that doesn’t sound like sarcasm or a platitude.
Are you bored with yourself or are you good company?
Believe me it has taken me decades to understand this concept. I’m still working on it.
You are not alone, even Echo Other explains that.
I listen to alot of music. It soothes my soul. It has healing energy - like talking to a friend or doing yoga on the rug.
Mostly I find my music on YouTube. It’s detailed and described, primed and driven alogorithmically, a source of visual and audio data points. (I’m trying to implicate Google in the cybertization of the world here but that’s probly another story.) And the comments - they’re not snarky. Here are some comments for Echo Other.
“Your music creates an amazing space! Thank you very much for your creativity. She has been with me for many years.” Lolitanet007
“I've been listening this album for almost 20 years now. I remember 2007 winter when it was first introduced to me.” paveltyavin
“One of the best albums I have ever listened to and happilly have on my collection.” NunoBaptista1983
Sometimes you can even talk to the artists on You Tube comments. I said “looks like the desert in the american southwest / i feel like i'm on a long trip thru the desert” and the band gave me a heart.
I recommend listening to the entire album before going to bed or maybe while falling asleep. Not while driving though.
There are many ways to find yourself. Be attracted to you. You are beautiful.
Admit that you exist. Don’t hide from it. It’s unique, irreplaceable, exquisite even. Your existence is a miracle. No, I mean an actual miracle.
From a universe vast and uncharted, you came to be. Brave journey. Fortuitous birth. Impossible odds.
Time only exists while we have a lifetime. Obviously. There is no time in oblivion or eternity, whichever you like. Enjoy your time on planet Earth.
You are not alone. You have yourself and your music.
