So I’m having this big long Facebook conversation about the evils and virtues of the vaccine. And he says Is it my right to choose not to vaccinate myself and my family? And I say Yeah it’s absolutely your right but then what is your responsibility to society knowing that you’re most infectious before you even have symptoms
Just a question. What's common ground for you? I've thought about it since I wrote this post and realized that there are quite a few things that could be identified as common ground. Besides the already mentioned being alive, there is living on a planet (the only one we have so far), the need for food water air and shelter and love. There may be a whole cornucopia of common ground things that need to be mentioned and talked about.
The phrase "Not dead yet" reminds me not only of the Monty Python song of that name, but the apocryphal story of a Buddhist teacher responding to a flood of irrelevant questions from his students as they walk together. He holds up his hand to silence them and simply utters the words "soon dead." Could be another bumper sticker - they go together - both reminders to lead us to "you are alive - live!" Thank you for today's essay, enjoyable and inspiring as usual.

There is a Quaker saying that says, "this Friend speaks my mind." And that fits here for me. Masterful.
