i don't grow them and they do own the place / with enough rain they just take over / later they'll die down and the summer heat will bake the ground like an oven so enjoy them while you can is my attitude

One can find many "green" creatures in romanesque churches and cathedrals etc; Irish monks f.e. still had a connection to the Celtic myths and stories, when people still could perceive fairies and gnomes etc. and nature was embued with "being".
